DeStress Express Spa offers massage packages from the classic Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Thai massage and Aromatherapy, which are affordable and time-saver for customers who only have a limited time to enjoy a quick relaxation. Pampering customers as part of their busy schedule or just right after buying groceries is an absolute treat to relieve stress. To further enhance their relaxation experience, DeStress Express Spa have their Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Lemon grass oil scents to choose from.

Everything was okay except the exposed room near the hall-end sink of what seem like a storage room. Used towels, and I'm guessing staffs' clothes hanging were there. Not that it's related to the quality of service itself, but there may be meticulous or sensitive customers who may not appreciate such eye sore.

PRIVACY / SECURITY

It was great that they are located inside Shopwise so they have also been covered by the security guards outside. The only disadvantage on the privacy component was that the noise from the outside could be heard inside, so their spa-feel-music couldn't bring in the vibe.

QUALITY OF MASSAGE

The aromatherapy session got us relaxed and fulfilled. It took my shoulder a week however to lose the strain from too much pressure. I guess they just knew how stressed I was and have been experiencing backaches.

FACILITIES

Express spas aren't particular with shower rooms but a toilet at least would be nice. When clients need to do number 1's or 2's, they have to use the restrooms from Shopwise.

STAFF ETIQUETTE

Filipinos are known to be friendly and hospitable. But there are also borderlines when it comes to professionalism. Phone etiquette should still be observed. One faux pas was asking for the client's age over the phone and commenting about it based on her opinion, which was irrelevant to the reservation.

VALUE FOR MONEY

If there were other competitors in the area that offered the same price, I may consider the others first. For me, the regular Php600 rate is a bit pricey.

VALUE FOR TIME

Well, I think it was fine that even if we arrived earlier, we didn't have to wait for the exact appointment time to be accommodated. They were all ready to pamper us when we came.

Choosing from various cheap spa deals and of which massage technique to enjoy were extremely difficult. A 50% off spa deal from Ensogo featuring Big Apple Express Spa massage for only Php399 was a very great choice.

This was a wonderful chance to choose the massage best suited for your body's own needs.

The Total Relaxation Package includes a Balinese full body massage, a 30-minute spot massage, and New Yorker foot soak. This is suitable for anyone experiencing joint pain.

The Deep Tissue Package includes a Brazilian deep tissue full body massage, a Manhattan foot massage, and New Yorker foot soak. This is perfect for those who need relief for their tired, knotted muscles.

The Skin Plus Package includes a one-hour full body massage, choice of mentholated lotion, gluta white or total moisture plus a 30-minute Oriental foot massage. This is great for anyone who would love to improve their complexion while also getting a rejuvenating massage.

Big Apple Express Spa surely made its way to their customers' hearts for their neatness / cleanliness.

Their location weren't too hidden but was solemn enough to be able to snooze off during the massage proper. Though neither lockers or cabinets were available, they have hooks installed inside the massage rooms, and a spacious shelf for your belongings. 

QUALITY OF MASSAGE

Leaving the place with an awesome rejuvenated feeling deserves 5 stars!

FACILITIES

Though a shower room isn't a particular in express spas, a toilet at least would be nice. When clients need to do number 1's or 2's, they have to go out the spa itself to the nearby mall comfort room a couple of stores away.

STAFF ETIQUETTE

I really admired the staffs' friendly presence. They were all nice and polite too. When we bought a take-out brunch in, there was no refusal from them and even offered to just finish our brunch upstairs. Also, while doing some picture taking, they were even concerned and gave us a heads up about the amount of lighting available.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I'd say that even without the cheap spa deal, I would still count their service worth your bucks especially with their new Create Your Own Manhattan Massage. Being able to choose your own signature massage was nothing but luxurious!

VALUE FOR TIME

Not a second wasted.

A unique Ensogo deal offers a 65% on a ventosa cupping therapy with swedish massage at Chic Nails and Spa in Quezon City. I have been longing to try this cupping therapy so even without checking where it was located, I imprudently availed of the cheap spa deal worth Php250.

Why was I interested in cupping therapy? It is the method of using a glass cup to create pressure by a vacuum. Cupping therapy uses suction to create the vacuum, causing the blood to form in the area and help the healing in that area. The Meridians, which the Ancient Chinese medicine believed the body contains, are pathways in the body where Qi - also known as energy of life - flows through. 

There are five meridians on our back, where cupping therapy is mainly performed. When these meridians are opened, the internal energy is able to flow through the whole body.

Cupping therapy has another healing aspect and that is through the release of toxins in our body. The deep penetration of the cup's suction into our tissues causes a release of harmful toxins. Cupping therapy is used today by many alternative medicine practitioners.

At Chic Nails and Spa, you will have a great massage experience at very reasonable prices. Being valued as a customer is an understatement, because you will certainly become the Pampered One. The limited space or area of their entire establishment didn't count in the common adversities of clients in choosing a good spot for their beauty and wellness. The quality service mattered most, and had been served well by it's staff.

Chic Nails and Spa surely values their customers by providing an overall clean-feel vibe throughout your spa session. The sheets were new, and I should say that the blue and white ambiance is a plus factor that helped achieve this 5-star rating.

Although they are located on a busy street, it is still a snug haven which is conveniently private and secure.

QUALITY OF MASSAGE

The spa deal, ventosa cupping therapy and Swedish massage, was a great combo package especially for spa enthusiasts or for people looking for a unique stress-reliever. We only wished that the entire session was longer. 

FACILITIES

A shower room would be a great facility to consider. I think that maybe because they are more of a nail boutique than a body spa, or that the area was limited, was enough reason not to expect for a shower room.

STAFF ETIQUETTE

 The entire staff was great from the receptionist to the therapists. They were friendly and polite all the time. They were trained well to be true to their promise of making their customers become a pampered one. The courtesy drink on a wine glass before leaving the place was a great treat too! 

VALUE FOR MONEY

I say that even coming from a far place to avail of such service was very much worth it. I wish that their business prosper so they could have a lot of branches nationwide. 

VALUE FOR TIME

We arrived there earlier than expected and tried to ask if we could adjust our reservation. Although the request was declined, we highly respect their decision, and appreciated that they started our session just on time.

I found a great cheap spa deal from Cash Cash Pinoy with a 90-minute full body home service massage for Php190 only. Excellent Massage and Mobile Spa offered a 50% off from their regular rate. It was a spa deal that I could say simply irresistible. Well, why wouldn't it be? Where could you find a cheap spa deal worth Php190 that will come to provide a massage service of your choice in the convenience of your own home? You wouldn't have to mind of or be stressed on the traffic on your way home.

Excellent Massage and Mobile Spa offers home service massage from Swedish, Shiatsu, and Thai Combination. They bring in their own massage oil and are professionally looking with their uniforms. This cheap spa deal comes in with the greatness of a 24/7 service anywhere in Metro Manila.

I bought three vouchers, one for me and two as a gift to a couple of loved ones. We decided to vary the massage between Swedish and Thai Combination.

Well, we didn't lose anything at home. They also sent a text message on the reserved date itself to confirm the appointment. Since you will be serviced at home, ask for an ID to make sure that they are the therapists from Excellent Massage and Mobile spa you were waiting for and not some poser. I just wished they presented their ID's proactively and introduced themselves earlier than being asked. 

QUALITY OF MASSAGE

They have achieved their goal to provide professional and personal care to their clients by living up with the expectation of a quality service.

 The staffs were courteous and warm in person even through the text message they sent to confirm the appointment. They observe silence throughout the session which I personally consider important. They didn't ask for a tip that's why I had to insist giving them what they deserve.

With the quality of their service and professionalism, I am willing to pay for their service even on a normal rate. The

We set an 8pm appointment on a Sunday, so we could get relaxed before heading to sleep and be more energetic coming Monday. It was raining hard and was surprised that they still made it that night. We really appreciated their effort particularly when they didn't have to ask where we were located. Our address is a challenging place to locate but they arrived and didn't waste any of our time.

Blu-Zen Massage and Spa Center Makati

Blu-Zen Massage and Spa Center is a small hole-in-the-wall type of an express spa facility located on Calatagan Street in Makati near Cash and Carry. They offer various types of massage from European, Swedish, Thai, Shiva's to name a few. Just like any other businesses, Blu-Zen has promos like the introductory price of their new Slimtonic Massage for only Php400* per session. The European massage however was the deal that I bought from Ensogo for only Php150 at a 50% off rate.

It was quite a unique experience to have tried Blu-Zen's European massage. They have this different technique of using the therapist's arm blades and fists, varying the pressure from moderate to hard, depending on the customer's needs. 

Blu-Zen massage techniques will relax the body, targeting the parts that normally suffer from stress, most especially the upper and lower backs, and the thighs and legs. 

Blu-Zen's signature massage technique is the use of Orange Oil, which gives a relaxing and healing scent in the entire one-hour spa session. Blu-Zen recommends undergoing this massage at least twice a week, with four days in between for further body relief.

The one thing they most certainly neglect was the washroom. The effort was there to design the sink with pebbles on the sink connecting with the outside theme. However, the stink smell of the washroom just turned me off.  Guest may also feel doubtful on the sheets as it smelled like it was used by a few customers already. And there were no pillowcase. 

PRIVACY / SECURITY

There was no place to put your stuffs on. Though they offered to keep it on the cabinet underneath the counter top outside the massage room, you cannot feel relaxed knowing you're stuff was just there. What if there are a lot of guests especially on peak hours? I'm sure the cabinet couldn't hold everyone's belongings and the staffs wouldn't be sure to keep an eye on them the whole time.

QUALITY OF MASSAGE

The European massage was great. I left the place smelling so yummy orange.

FACILITIES

Since it's just small, there were nothing much except the massage rooms which were divided by curtains. 

STAFF ETIQUETTE

The staffs were friendly and polite. The sad part was they weren't trained well to do what customers' expect them to do. Guests, whether first timers or spa enthusiasts, should be served well. When we were lead to the tiny massage space, the staffs didn't prepare the robes or towels we should use then they asked if we were ready. We asked what were we expected to do since they didn't instruct us that we should get ready for the massage proper and that were we supposed to be fully naked? It was the only time that they gave us towels.

VALUE FOR MONEY

If the quality of massage is the only component to gauge if the Php150 was valuable, I may agree. But people availing of these deals from group buying sites are expecting to get quality discounts. Paying Php150 seems like the actual worth of the entire service and not a discount. Thus, making the customers feel fooled. The pictures on the Ensogo site are the evidence too. The photos are already false advertisement. 

VALUE FOR TIME

Sure they started on time, but the staffs' knowledge on the proper procedures prolonged the waiting. Also, if customers are only up for a quick good massage, then this one is valuable. But if you are looking for a relaxing massage just right before going home to sleep, or impressing someone, or giving it as a gift, then this is waste of time. 

Do I recommend Blu-Zen Massage and Spa Center to other people? No.

Will I go back to Blu-Zen Massage and Spa Center? No.

Comments and Suggestions:

Keeping the washroom clean is a very big plus. Add at least a tissue roll on the inventory for customers to use.
